Boaz & Ruth's partnership with AmeriCorps began at the state level in 2006 and has grown consistently each year since.  Boaz & Ruth is home to 51 AmeriCorps members (both interns and reentry program participants) in 2008-09.  Boaz & Ruth AmeriCorps members are working to revitalize the blighted Highland Park neighborhood by renovating dilapidated properties, incubating businesses, helping the formerly incarcerated find employment, and reenergizing the once-thriving commercial district along Meadowbridge Road.
